Is there anything better than a classic chocolate chip cookie?! Well I’m here to tell you that, yes. Yes there is. It’s a chewy, gooey, chocolate chip cookie. Honestly, these are better than your Grandmother’s recipe. I’m sorry if I’m being a bit dramatic…I’ll try to tone it down…let’s start again.

I usually don’t get this hyped about a CCC but these are the best I’ve ever had. They’re super simple to make and they keep for a decent amount of time too. So, if you like chewy and gooey cookies, these were made for you. Now, throw on your cutest apron and grab a spatula cause you need to get baking…ASAP.

When I think of Fall and Winter I think of pumpkin bread. For as long as I can remember I’ve always (or my mom has always) made pumpkin bread during this time of year. Some years I make pumpkin bread almost every other week. I wouldn’t go as far as to say I’m obsessed with pumpkin bread…well no, actually I would go as far as to say that. In fact, for my college essay I compared myself to pumpkin bread… Now, I’ve tried a few different recipes and this one that’s listed below is by far my favorite. This recipe makes bread that is (excuse this word) moist, and full of sweetness and fall spices. What could be better?! You only need one bowl for this entire recipe and it takes all of 8 minutes to whip together. I did halve the recipe so it usually makes 2 loaves. How stinkin’ cute are these?! Candy corn is pretty much the symbol of fall/halloween so I figured this would be a perfect dessert to make! Don’t worry…they don’t actually taste like candy corn, they just look like candy corn (I know a lot of people don’t like the actual taste of the candy). You can actually do this for almost any kind of dessert (if you don’t like cupcakes)…you can make a cookie, cheesecake, maybe even brownie (?) form of these. I made a classic vanilla cake and vanilla icing cupcake (my favorite) and just dyed the batter orange and yellow! If you’re having a party, these would be the perfect thing to make. Or if you’re not throwing one, just make them for yourself (which is exactly what I did) and get started on that winter body!

What smells better than a Bath and Body Work’s Apple Cinnamon candle you might ask? A fall simmer pot!! Trust me, it really does smell better than any fall candle you will ever smell. And you know me, I’m all about a good candle…but nothing beats the smell of fresh ingredients simmering on the stove. My mom used to make something similar to this when I was growing up so whenever I make this myself, it brings back good mems.

Do you like peanut butter? Do you like butter? Do you like cupcakes? Do you like the recipe of a lifetime? If you said yes to any of those then I’m happy to introduce you to….peanut butter chocolate chip cupcakes! These guys are the most decadent, peanut buttery, tasty cupcakes you’ll ever eat. I do have to warn you though…proceed with caution because these are not for the faint of heart. Each one literally weighs probably two pounds and they’re super filling. Seth had one last night and he couldn’t even finish it…a grown man couldn’t finish one…just let that sink in…
But don’t let that scare you away!! These are easy to make and will impress everyone who eats them. I do want to apologize for the lighting in the upcoming pictures…the lighting in my kitchen is weird and so some pictures taken from different angles might look darker than others. Since summer is coming to a close, I thought this would be the perfect time to write a post about my key lime pie recipe. Yes, yes, this really is my recipe. I didn’t use a cookbook or the internet to make this (hold for applause). The first time I made this was a couple weeks ago when my mom came to visit. Key lime pie is one of her favorite desserts and I thought making one for her would be a nice surprise. So at 10pm the night before she came, I whipped this bad boy up. And wow, I need to start baking at 10pm more often! It turned out really amazing and my mom claimed it was one of the best she’s ever had (I mean, no biggie).
