How stinkin’ cute are these?! Candy corn is pretty much the symbol of fall/halloween so I figured this would be a perfect dessert to make! Don’t worry…they don’t actually taste like candy corn, they just look like candy corn (I know a lot of people don’t like the actual taste of the candy). You can actually do this for almost any kind of dessert (if you don’t like cupcakes)…you can make a cookie, cheesecake, maybe even brownie (?) form of these. I made a classic vanilla cake and vanilla icing cupcake (my favorite) and just dyed the batter orange and yellow! If you’re having a party, these would be the perfect thing to make. Or if you’re not throwing one, just make them for yourself (which is exactly what I did) and get started on that winter body!
Here are the ingredients you will need. As always, I will put the full recipe at the end of this post. So now you’re just going to make your basic cupcake batter…
But before putting the batter into your cupcake tins, split it in half and dye one half yellow and the other orange.
Then put the yellow batter down first and the orange on top of that. I actually had to check a piece of candy corn to make sure I was doing this in the right order…awk. I also ran out of orange batter so disregard the all yellow one down there in the corner.
Ta-da! After icing them, I placed a little candy corn on top because why not…might as well go all out! Attempt to take professional quality/magazine model worthy pictures. Realize you can see your sunglasses in the background. Then also realize you can’t take the picture again because you ate that one and that was the best looking one.
